Our overseeding methods
Basic overseeding (seeding only)
Our Basic Overseeding package is the straightforward way to give your lawn new life. We spread premium grass seed evenly across your yard to fill in bare patches and thicken thinning areas. This is a simple, affordable solution to boost your lawn’s overall health and appearance without extra steps.
Tips for Best Results:
Water lightly 3 times daily (8 AM, 12 PM, 7 PM) for the first 2–3 weeks until the seed germinates.
Avoid mowing for 2–3 weeks or until the new grass reaches 3–4 inches tall.
Minimize foot traffic on freshly seeded areas.
Consistent watering is more important than heavy watering — keep the soil moist, not soaked.
premium overseeding
Our Pro Overseeding package goes beyond the basics to ensure maximum germination and stronger root development. First, we de-thatch to remove dead grass and debris, then aerate your soil so oxygen, nutrients, and water can reach the roots. After spreading premium seed, we roll a thin layer of peat moss for moisture retention and improved soil contact, followed by a roller to ensure seed-to-soil connection. This method produces a healthier, thicker, and more resilient lawn.

Reduce foot traffic while the new seed is establishing.
After the first month, transition to deeper, less frequent watering to encourage strong root growth.
Overseeding Deadline
When overseeing, it is important to schedule it 2-3 weeks before the first frost of the year. In Michigan, it is historically estimated between Oct. 11th - Oct. 20th
